Nicole just performed “Don’t Hold your Breath” on the french show “Le grand Journal” earlier today (17th of March), and I was happy I stumbled upon her cause i usually don’t watch that channel at that specific hour ! So I’ve been lucky for once

As usual she was just gorgeous; she came with a short black and red shiny/glittery dress, long curly hair and red lipstick. She didn’t talk much after the performance as, actually, they asked her a few (silly) questions only, but it was still enjoyable having our beloved Nicole on french TV ! ^_^

And so, the whole point of this post is this : Her second solos Album named “Killer Love” so, will be released on Friday the 25th of March 2011. Just a little week to go ! I’m so excited !

I said it on almost all my other blogs and stuff, I’m gonna be off of Internet for a moment due to my moving to a new apartment ! So do not expect many updates on this little blog then. :/ Anyway, if you’re reading this blog you might have realized I haven’t been able to update anything but the “Pic of The week” on the side this actual week due to lack of time and all also… So, yes, nothing new coming for a little while, sadly !

I hope nothing too important happens in that lapse of time ! >.<

Oh, I heard Nicole‘s “Don’t Hold Your Breath” on french radio this week ! I’m so happy this single made it to France !! Yays~! ;D

☂ Quick description : Nicole just broke up with her guy, takes Taxi Cabs at night, and wander in an old, empty house.

☂ My Opinion : First of all, and oppositely to what I said in this post concerning “Poison“; I think that for that 2nd single of her (also) 2nd solo Album; the video fits the song. At least, the mood of it !
→ I mean, oppositely to “Poison“, I didn’t feel like there was anything missing while watching it. It’s simple, Nicole looks gorgeous, and last but not least…. It’s a good song !
→ So… I’ve got nothing more to say really, I just hope Nic keeps on releasing stuff of that quality, cause like they say; So Far, So Good ! ♥

Nicole about the song “Killer Love” being leaked

If you’re following Nicole a bit, you probably saw that a song from her upcoming album has leaked without her knowing how and when it seems. The song is called “Killer Love“. It’s actually available everywhere already, from Youtube to MP3 Download sites.

On the 8th of February, Nicole said :

“Not sure how Killer Love has leaked? It is my baby…so I am protective, but hope u all feel it. I love this song so much it kills me…”

And later on, on the 11th of Feb :

“I’m sad that all my music is leaking, but its gratifying to know u all r loving it. I make this music for my you all. Thank u for believing.”

As a fan, I of course listened to “Killer Love” and it’s indeed one good song, I’m glad to see i’m actually loving everything Nic’s putting up for this second solo album cause I wasn’t so enthusiastic for the 1st one. Save for “Whatever u Like” that’s been an instant favorite back then, I just didn’t have that usual feeling I get when I fall in love with songs/albums.

Believe it or not, I did not download Killer Love though. The fact Nicole seems bugged about it all doesn’t make me want to do so actually. Especially since it will be released later on anyways and that I’ll be the first to buy her record when it comes out ! So I’ll just keep on waiting like a good girl. (laugh)

❖ First is this one ♥

My lovely Sab ! I always loved Mis-Teeq but save for Alesha who did her own thing I didn’t know there was anything else happening… And so never came across this song before, and um… Well, until early January 2011 really ! XDD The explanation is simple though, it JUST got released over here (in france) ! A full year later ! Can you believe that ? O.o

Anyway anyway, I loved that song the very first time I saw the video. And it also totally fitted my tastes in general; in fashion, etc… It’s a really catchy song, isn’t it ? ^^

❖ Second one is this one ♥

Which is surprising, since i’m not that much of a Nicki Minaj fan, honestly. But I don’t know, I saw the video like, last week on TV maybe, and the song got into my head like a virus. XD So, yeah. Not into the whole marriage thing personally, at some points the video does look a bit too…. How should I put it ? Too colorful maybe. And a bit cheap ! :/ (But, it seems it’s a trend these days… Rihanna does it really well too) BUT but but ! I love the song. XD (Little personal comment : Nicki looks so much prettier with dark hair !)

❖ Third one is…♥

It’s actually Rihanna, yes ! XD I’ve always been in kind of a love/hate relationship with Rihanna (in my head, that is… XD), in the sense that I like most of her songs (yet, I sometimes don’t like them AT ALL), but I frequently disagree with the Music Videos. XD I guess the only video I 100% approved for my part was Disturbia. It was just the best video she ever put up…..And please don’t kill me for saying this. XD I know lots of persons hated that video like it was a curse but I sincerely don’t see any valuable reason to do so. Dark videos are the best, people ! XD And stop seeing Satan everywhere. T^T First because he doesn’t even exist (so why the big deal, huh ? XD) and because Dark & Bizarre doesn’t mean = Satanism. Also, I don’t get how someone could actually think this video was “scary“… I even saw comments saying people actually had nightmares because of it… I think said persons should get more sleep and drink less.
ANYWAY ! Back to S&M, since it’s the video that’s right above this already too long text XD Same thing as almost all the songs i’m listing in this post; I like the actual song, but not the video….. WHY SO MANY COLORS ??? WHY Rihanna, WHY ?! I’m pretty sure a brainstorming session for a new Rihanna video looks just like this :

…I’m sure it’s quite close to that. *nods twice* Well, of course it’s slightly exaggerated, but you must admit Rihanna went from Full of angst, dark videos in Rated R to Way too happy, colorful ones for Loud. She tries so hard to look like she’s having fun it looks fake. V_V But yeah, I’m digressing again.
So, S&M is making this huge polemic in the US, huh ? I’m repeating myself over and over again but…. What’s wrong with America ? I heard they banned the video… I mean, isn’t that KINDA hypocrite ? Like it’s anything close to shocking ! -_-; This video is just a failed attempt at looking a tad bit hardcore and S&M (She just looks the total opposite in the video really), so again, why the big deal ? *sigh* And the lyrics aren’t even that explicit…
Anyways, all this bla-bla to say I just like that song XD I GET TOO CARRIED AWAY DAMNIT ! T^T XD (sorry, I worked til late tonight and this is my only moment of relaxation so I enjoy writing and talking about things… Even trivial XD) I’ll stop talking of this song NOW.

❖ On with the last and Fourth one…..♥

…And I didn’t even like it at first. XD But after a few times hearing it, it started getting stuck in my head also; and I caught myself singing it without even realizing it first at one point ! XD So of course, I surrendered. Definitely not the song of the Year (not even of the month… XD) but oh well. I’ve been liking loads of stuff lately it seems.

Actually, I hesitated on putting Jessie j‘s “Do it like a Dude” instead. Same thing, I didn’t like it at first and now I do. It’s in fact worth re-listening to stuff a second time when you have a negative opinion on them ! (laugh)
